Kade Thomas

Founder and CEO, Cerv Property Solutions

Kade Thomas is the Founder and CEO of Cerv Property Solutions where he is focused on an entrepreneurial approach to home and commercial services, starting with people and process, and then “sophisticating the unsophisticated” through data and technological enablement. Thomas and his team have built each of the Cerv platform businesses from scratch, enabling their commercial and residential services companies with technology to drive maximum value to their customers, team members, and local communities.

Thomas is a strong believer that great people stewarding robust processes lead to outstanding service and positive business outcomes. This mindset has been central to Cerv’s entrepreneurial philosophy and, more specifically, their ethos that building businesses from scratch is the foundation of delivering exceptional returns. Cerv currently has six verticals - landscape, pest, pool, janitorial, exterior, and waste - that it owns and operates, while achieving industry-leading growth through organic and inorganic customer acquisition models and white-glove service.

As a serial entrepreneur, Thomas has over a decade of entrepreneurial, operational, and investment experience across the services industry. At just 13 years old, Thomas founded Lawn Pros, a commercial and residential lawn care company in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. As the owner-operator, he grew it into a seven-figure company before selling it in 2014. He then went on to participate in several other service companies before acquiring a small commercial landscape business in Austin, Texas Kade and team later renamed WLE (Water | Land | Environment) in 2017, growing it to a mid-eight figures company before selling it to BrightView (NYSE: BV) in late 2020.

Thomas studied business honors, finance, and data analytics at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently an active leader at the university’s McCombs School of Business and serves on a number of boards and councils, including the Real Estate Center Executive Advisory Council, the university’s Longhorn Foundation Advisory Council, the DKR Advisory Board, and the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities, as well as is an owner and board member of Lobos Hospitality.
